2 tips to use honey for PMS skincare: Part 1
Friends, it’s perfectly normal to experience some skin detox during PMS / mahwari autumn. The occasional pimples or 2 (or 10) signifies that our skin is getting rid of toxins that are ready to come out. I lovingly coo at my pimples during PMS, and affirm them haha. I can be heard in my bathroom saying, “I love you so much pimple for getting the nasties and negativity out of our body!!!” Y’all know it's true!
Honey is one item in my self-care pantry. In my book Self-Care Down There, I share some key items to have in there! Below, I share Tip # 2 to use honey for PMS skincare.
Tip # 1: Use honey with ceremony and grace: Honey is a precious resource that we can honour & use sustainably. I remember taking an environmental studies course in uni and our professor showed us an image of a polar bear, flacon, and bee and asked about the impact of their extinction on our planet.
Perhaps no surprise to you all, without bees we would last about 3 months before humanity basically collapsed into a Wall-E-esque pile of rubble. To support our own self-care, every time we use honey for skincare let’s do it sparingly and in ceremony to respect our neighbours the bees and their work. A little goes a long way!
Stayed tuned for Part 2 coming tomorrow!
Did my tip about using honey resonate with you? Make you feel like, “hmm... I never thought about it this way before!”? I’m so excited to share that I’ve written a whole book with aha moments like these just for your friend. It’s called Self-Care Down There. You can preview it for free on our page called Guidebook.
All proceeds from my offerings, including Self-Care Down There, go towards pelvic health revitalization projects in Canada, India, and Pakistan.
