@imwithperiods is so excited to share our guidebook

Self-Care Down There

The book has 100 pages of info and at-home sacred self-care practices for pelvic, menstrual (or mahwari in Punjabi), and overall health for all genders. While the focus is on folks on the vagina end of the sex spectrum, the practices can be applied across the constellation of sexes, genders, and sexualities.

Our definition of self-care includes physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual elements which are reflected in the book! There are a few options for getting the guidebook above. You can also ask your local independent bookstore to order you a copy! They can get it shipped in, and many of them are doing free delivery in your area right now.

The content draws on ancestral traditions and emerging scientific research. We humbly share this book to support the collective wisdom of our bodies.  In the book, you’ll find brand-new information about pelvic health, and knowledge that’s been around for hundreds (okay probably thousands) of years.  Self-Care Down There approaches the topics through the lens of anti-racism, gender equity, sexual diversity, pluralism, and sustainability.

Through our book sales, we have been able to donate funds and copies of the book to charities that do front-line menstrual health education in diasporas and Indigenous communities around the world. Already everyone’s amazing support and interest in the book has generated financial support and copies of Self-Care Down There for Free Periods Canada, FemCare Community Health Initiative, She for She Pads, Cobequid Educational College Period Poverty Project in Truro, Dalhousie University Student Residences, and more.
